Dean Just replaced my 2 months old 15-inch MacBook Pro with the latest i7 model was released a few days ago. So my old 8GB was not compatible anymore. Only about five months ago that the older style of memory cost me not quite three times what these newer RAM costs. Have it installed without problems in the laptop, booted fine, works well.
